The aim of this project was to understand metal as material and the process of sand casting, right from prototyping to plating or finishing. 

CONCEPT GENERATION

The concept for a spoon where the handle can be twisted according to the person using it(left- handed or right- handed). Also, this simple tool can be used to induce fun for kids while eating. 

Final concept: The spoon traces its history from the very first tools humans used to eat after hands. Our necessity to eat for survival made the spoon the most important tool. Hence, I looked at the prehistoric tools and created a fluid form that fits contemporary  spaces and eating styles. The all-purpose spoon reminds the user of his roots while keeping up with the time it belongs to.
